Beginning in the sixth grade, all students at St. Andrew’s
are invited to be part of our Basketball Program. Basketball is a winter sport.
The season begins in November and ends in the middle of February.
“A lot of our kids want to play basketball and we want
everyone interested to be on a team,” says Athletic Director, Rance Barnett.
“Some years, we create several teams to accommodate all of our students who
show an interest.”
St. Andrew’s is a member of the West Texas Christian Athletics Association – a league that currently consists of ten teams located in Amarillo, Plainview and Lubbock. In addition, SAES often competes with other public schools in Amarillo and the Panhandle area.
In past years, St. Andrew’s girls have won the WTCAA Basketball Championship three times. St. Andrew’s players took home the win in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Many of our students have gone on the play basketball at Tascosa and Amarillo High Schools.
